PRAISE & WORSHIP

HI ,welcome back today I wanna talk about church dancing . Did you know that you can dance at church? If your church has choir you can ask the pastor if you can start a praise and worship group. Once you do that you can get an outfit and then you can get started.

ACRO & LYRICAL

There is also acro and lyrical. They are both the same in some way. I really like to watch them because it has a lot of flexibility and flips and things like that. These are the shoes they use for both.
They use those things on the bottom so that when they spin it does not hurt the bottom of your foot. See full size image

JAZZ

Another kind of dance is jazz. What is JAZZ ? Jazz dance is a classification shared by a broad range of dance styles. Prior to the 1950s, jazz dance referred to dance styles that originated from African American vernacular dance. In the 1950s, a new genre of jazz dance—modern jazz dance—emerged, with roots in Caribbean traditional dance. Every individual style of jazz dance has roots traceable to one of these two distinct origins.

WERE TAP ORIGINATED FROM ?

It originated in America when slaves where not allowed to use instruments and used hands and feet as an alternative around the time that irish clog dancing was becoming popular (so it has some influence from that). No one person "invented" it. Though the Floradora Sextet performed the first synchronized tap routine and from there was used in hollywood and broadway musicals. One person did "invent" "broadway style" tap (which is the one usaly taught to beginners in America) I do not remember his name.(this info is from WikiAnswers)
